About

Hi, I’m Essie – a writer, semi-nomadic virtual assistant, and soft-wild soul currently deep in my blossoming era.

This blog began as a breadcrumb trail—marking moments of adventure, heartbreak, healing, and homecoming. It’s evolved into something else: a space to share what happens after the dream collapses and you choose to begin again.

My first camper that Willow & I lived in years ago.

I’m not new to the road. Years ago, I sold what didn’t fit in a camper and traded sidewalks for open skies. I became Jinx the Nomad somewhere between a collapsed roof in a Midwest storm, a pandemic, and a totaled trailer. The name stuck—not as a curse, but as a reminder: my path has always been a little wild, a little messy, and exactly mine.

And now, I’m back.
Not starting over—starting deeper.

This time, it’s not about chasing every destination.
It’s about traveling inward, too.
It’s about becoming untethered—from old rules, old routines, and the version of myself I outgrew.
It’s about living slowly, working remotely, creating art from forest edges and truck stop picnic tables, and letting a little more magic into the mundane.

🌸 What is A Feral Blossom?

It’s a soft landing place.
A patchwork journal.
A love letter to those of us growing wild and free—on purpose.

Here, you’ll find:

  • 💻Musings from the road
  • 🌱Glimpses of my handmade art and jewelry
  • 🔥 Stories of running a digital business from anywhere
  • 🔮 Mystic rituals for rootless living
  • ✍️Honest reflections about what it means to unravel and rebuild

And of course, my dog is always along for the ride. 🐾

I created A Feral Blossom for people like you—people who are craving something more honest, more intentional, more free. Whether you’re already nomadic or just dreaming of it, whether you’re a quiet rebel or a witchy creative—welcome. You’re in good company here.
